Let me introduce myself

My is Nia I'm 20 years old. I'm from Philadelphia,PA. All my life I've been a Chubby bint (bint is arabic for girl just in case you wondering what chubby means). I've been overweight since I was about 9 years old. I remember going to doctor when I was 9 and scale read 145lbs. At 11 I soared up to 190lbs I use to be teased by the other kids. I was told that when I got older I would lose the fat because my parents and teachers said it was just baby fat. When I hit my teens the weight didn't go away. I weighed 240lbs at that point. So I decided when I was in the 10th grade to lose some weight. I winded up losing almost 50lbs during a 2 year period. I was happy with my weight loss. I had gotten down to 195. that had been my lowest weight in a while. Then in 2007 I went through some serious depression. I just ate and ate. I remember one time I ate a whole cake in a 2 day period.

Now I'm trying to lose weight again. I currently weight 228.8lbs. My goal now is just to get back down to the weight I was before I gained weight. So my current goal now is at 199lbs. Once I get to 199lbs I will worry about getting down to my ideal weight. But for now I'll just focus on this goal.

For my eating plan. I'm currently on the South Beach diet. I had done the South Bead diet previosuly before and it worked pretty well for me. My exercise consist of doing aerobics DVDs and toning with dumbells and leg weights. And some days if i want to do something fun I just hope on my Wii fit.
